Well Blogliners we’re back in the swing after a long Summer and Jewish holiday hiatus. I guess what’s all on our minds is how the world banking crisis is going to affect us in 2009. Here’s my prediction. What is taking place is a major market correction in the structure of “Capitalism” as it currently exists. The free market system will be forced to adapt a social democratic face if it wants to continue to thrive. Literally translated this means that it cannot afford to destroy the middle-class any longer if it wants to keep its raison d’etre (reason for being). High-tech enterprises are strong as are many other industries, and although job losses will be incurred - if you are a Marcom freelancer, are experienced and a true industry professional - then business should continue to be good in 2009. Although recently a number of new players have entered the market in Israel purporting to be Marcom providers, one just has to review their credentials and web-sites to see how much they lack as industry professionals. While some high-tech companies might still be bamboozled - many other Israeli high-tech concerns have learned the hard way what good Marcom entails and are now only seeking the true professionals who can deliver the messaging and tools they require, and they are ready to pay competitive industry rates to get the best Marcom properties and results. So yes…there will be turmoil in the short term…but I believe we shall see an increased demand for world-class Marcom services.
